Komplizen Film was founded in 1999 by Janine Jackowski and Maren Ade during their studies at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF Munich). Since 2010, Jonas Dornbach has also been a producer and managing director of Komplizen Film.
Komplizen Film focuses on the development of feature films, international co-productions and high-end series.
We produce local films for an international audience, films that take risks. We work with filmmakers distinguished by a unique signature and believe in long-term cooperation with our directors and production partners.

"A Fantastic Woman" by Sebastián Lelio, a co-production that won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2018
"Toni Erdmann" by Maren Ade, which premiered in Competition at Cannes Film Festival 2016 and won the International Critics' Award and FIPRESCI Grand Prix, the European and German Film Awards and was nominated for a Golden Globe, César, BAFTA and Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film
"Western" by Valeska Grisebach, which celebrated its world premiere in Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2017 and was awarded the German Film Prize 2018 in Bronze for the Best Film, as well as numerous other directing and film awards
"Tabu" by Miguel Gomes, a co-production which was awarded the Alfred Bauer Prize and the FIPRESCI Prize in Competition at Berlinale 2012
"Hedi Schneider is Stuck" by Sonja Heiss, which premiered at the Berlinale Forum 2013
